Where to get the best Oysters in Calgary

After topping the world list in almost all the good things in life, you would want to know whether Calgary is all that the researchers say it is. The city tops the world's list on Human Development Index, pa capita income, cleanest city, best place to live among others. It also happens to be home to the world's largest festival - the Calgary Stampede.

After trying to find a fault in this Canadian city, I found none and thus like they say in Anglo-Saxon, I am going to give the 'devil her due'. Below are the top oyster eateries in Calgary.

1. Big Fish Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar

With a variety of 6 types of oysters served with house ponzu (a Japanese soy sauce), caper chive migonette and a four-chili cocktail; this restaurant tops the oyster restaurants in Calgary. If you want to take out your dinner date to a romantic, classy and chic place, this restaurant will fit the description perfectly.

2. National

At the affordable price of $1 per oyster, you would conclude that there must be some sort of compromise in the oyster but alas! This never happens in Calgary. The restaurant makes money off other dishes to serve the best of smoked oysters.

3. Catch & The Oyster Bar

The oysters at this eatery are simply, mouthwatering. It is a nice place to go after busy day at work to enjoy a delicious meal that is preceded by some raw oyster to awaken the dulled appetite.

4. ParkerHouse Grill & Wine Bar

You better get to this restaurant after 4PM.  Amazingly; the oysters go for $1 each after 4 PM. If I were you, I would visit the place at least once a weak to whet my appetite for seafood.

5. The Embarcadero

The yummy Pacific and Atlantic oysters are going to turn you into a believer in seafood. They are not only very tasty but also highly nutritious (I am authoritatively told that the high seas has a variety of rich micronutrients that the oysters feed on)

If somebody could choose their home, most of us would choose Calgary. However, since this is not possible, why not organize to have your next holiday in the city? While at it, why not sample as many of the delicious oysters as you can?
